Employment Listings

Uni4me provides a database for employers to list employment opportunities to studentsand recent graduates of the University of New England.

Submission and approval

Uni4me requires that employers register and submit their listings for approval before they will appear on our site. Uni4me will endeavour to approve listings within 1 working day of their submission.

Legislation and Reserved Rights

All submitted listings must comply with the relevant legislation. In Australia, legislation relating to employment includes, but is not limited to the Fair Work Act 2009, the Equal Opportunity Act 1995, the Trade Practices Act 1974 and the Racial Discrimination Act 1975.

Uni4me reserves the right to refuse any person or organisation the use of this service, and to reject or withdraw any job advertisement from Jobs 4 me without notice or reason, and to alter any aspect of job advertisements approved for publishing. 

The reasons for this may include:

  • non-compliance with these terms and conditions has occurred;
  • misleading, inaccurate or incorrect information has been provided;
  • a complaint about the advertiser has been received;
  • where non-compliance with the law is reasonably suspected;
  • the job opportunity is considered to be inappropriate;
  • the behaviour of the advertiser in his / her involvement with the University is deemed by Uni4me to be unethical.

Advertiser and Job Requirements

Jobs 4 me is a self-service system and Uni4me expects all advertisers to register and lodge their own jobs. (An exception may be made for private individuals who do not have email or internet access). It is the advertiser's responsibility to fully and satisfactorily complete all of the required information. Failure to do so may result in the registration or the job not being accepted.

Uni4me requires all organisations to provide the following information:

  • Name of the organisation or individual advertising the job.
  • Full postal and / or physical address.
  • Full name, email address and phone number of at least one contact person.
  • An adequate description of the type of organisation and / or the type of service provided.
  • An Australian Business Number (ABN) for Australian based employers except those advertising work for private households.
  • An adequate description of the duties and nature of the work being offered.
  • For casual and part-time jobs, an appropriate hourly rate of pay or the name of a relevant award or job classification must be displayed on the job advertisement.

Uni4me requires all private householders registering as individuals to provide the following information:

  • First name and last name
  • Email address
  • At least one telephone number i.e. mobile or landline
  • Physical address
  • An appropriate hourly rate of pay must be displayed on the job advertisement. (Wages and pay rates has guidelines).

Unacceptable jobs

Uni4me will not advertise:

  • positions paid by commission only;
  • positions where payment is by profit share;
  • positions that offer less than award wages;
  • positions that offer any sort of "board in exchange" arrangement where the student receives accommodation as payment for work performed
  • positions that do not offer a genuine employment opportunity or those that require applicants to register with an organisation for possible opportunities;
  • independent contracting arrangements (self-employment);
  • positions lodged by a registered business offering "cash" or "cash in hand";
  • positions offering payment by "piece rates" i.e. where payment is per product produced, per delivery, per sale made etc
  • business opportunities and franchise ownership opportunities;
  • pyramid schemes;
  • modelling;
  • work involving any unpaid training/ trial periods, or reduced pay for training/ trial periods, except where a federal or state award makes allowances for such arrangements;
  • work involving any illegal activity or that may pose a serious risk to workers;
  • any work which requires the employee to purchase a product or service, or requires an application fee, registration fee, security deposit or similar as a condition of employment;
  • unpaid internships - unless the internship is undertaken as a vocational placement or is classified as voluntary work in a registered not-for-profit organisation.

Liability

  • Uni4me will be under no liability to users and recruiters in respect of any loss or damage (including consequential loss or damage) which may be suffered or incurred or which may arise directly or indirectly in respect of services supplied by Uni4me.
  • Advertisers agree to indemnify Uni4me and its staff against all claims, actions, suits, costs and expenses incurred on any account by Uni4me as a result of their vacancy.
  • Employers advertising on www.uni4me.com.au must abide by these terms and conditions for employers. Uni4me checks that all opportunities featured on Uni4me comply with our terms and conditions for employers, however, we do not accept responsibility for advertisers who provide inaccurate, misleading or false information.
  • Uni4me does not necessarily recommend or endorse any organisations or service providers featured on www.uni4me.com.au.
  • Uni4me does not act as an agent for the employer.
  • Employers agree that all information they provide in their jobs and services do not breach any law or the rights of any person (including legislation regarding Fair Trading, Equal Opportunity and Human Rights).

Data Usage

Uni4me may use employers' email addresses to:

  • update them about www.uni4me.com.au
  • clarify job details as necessary
  • alert them to other services to facilitate recruitment
  • send career-related / employment notices
  • undertake labour market research
  • assist in managing the uni4me.com.au website.
  • for liaison purposes with the University and its students
  • conduct syndicated or sponsored research on behalf of or in the direct interest of the University's strategic purposes

Accomodation Listings

Uni4me provides a database for landlords and real estate agents to list residential tenancies for students of the University of New England.

Submission and approval

Uni4me requires that landlords and real estate agents register and submit their listings for approval before they will appear on our site. Uni4me will endeavour to approve listings within 1 working day of their submission.

Legislation and Reserved Rights

All submitted listings must comply with the relevant legislation. In Australia, legislation relating to tenanciest includes, but is not limited to the Residential Tenancies Act 2010.

Uni4me reserves the right to refuse any person or organisation the use of this service, and to reject or withdraw any advertisement from www.uni4me.com.au without notice or reason, and to alter any aspect of  advertisements approved for publishing.

Advertiser and Tenancy Requirements

Jobs 4 me is a self-service system and Uni4me expects all advertisers to register and lodge their own listings. (An exception may be made for private individuals who do not have email or internet access). It is the advertiser's responsibility to fully and satisfactorily complete all of the required information. Failure to do so may result in the registration or the listing not being accepted.

  • An adequate description of the features of the property, including at least one photo.
  • The weekly cost.
  • Any bond costs associated with renting the property.

Uni4me requires all private householders registering as individuals to provide the following information:

  • First name and last name.
  • Email address.
  • At least one telephone number i.e. mobile or landline.
  • Physical address.
  • An adequate description of the property, including at least one photo.
  • The weekly cost.
  • Whether or not Utilities will be included in the rental amount.

Liability

  • Uni4me will be under no liability to in respect of any loss or damage (including consequential loss or damage) which may be suffered or incurred or which may arise directly or indirectly in respect of services supplied by Uni4me.
  • Advertisers agree to indemnify Uni4me and its staff against all claims, actions, suits, costs and expenses incurred on any account by Uni4me as a result of their vacancy.
  • Those advertising on www.uni4me.com.au must abide by these terms and conditions Uni4me checks that all opportunities featured on Uni4me comply with our terms and conditions, howeve , we do not accept responsibility for advertisers who provide inaccurate, misleading or false information.
  • Uni4me does not necessarily recommend or endorse any organisations or service providers featured on www.uni4me.com.au.
  • Uni4me does not act as an agent for the property owners or their agents.
  • Advertisers agree that all information they provide in their do not breach any law or the rights of any person (including but not limited to legislation regarding Fair Trading, Human Rights).
